Lately, Katelynn has become obsessed with gum. I got a package for free at CVS and quickly discovered that she was keenly aware anytime I tried to stealthily pop a piece in my mouth. So I had to share. Today, the gum ran out and KK was not happy about it. We were on the way to Wal-Mart and she declared that we would buy more gum. I told her that mommy wasn't going to buy more gum. "I'll buy the gum," said KK. I laughed. "You can't buy the gum, KK. You don't have any money." She replied, "I have lots of money in my piggy bank mommy."
So Katelynn made her first purchase with her "own money" today - a package of watermelon gum shaped like little ice cubes.
