Babies Make the Simplest Things Fun Again!

Today I put Katelynn in the jacuzzi tub (without any water) and she thought that was the coolest thing ever. It was so much fun to watch her tooling around in there. 11 month olds are fun!

Having a baby has made simple little things become so enjoyable:

- Trips to the pumpkin patch

- Putting her in her first Halloween costume

- Giving her a lemon to eat (heehee)

- Tickling her and giggling with her

- Watching her crawl around under the table

- Reading "Little Red Riding Hood" 500 times

The Grocery Game - Incredible Week at CVS

Today was a big day at CVS. I got $60 worth of stuff - all my Halloween candy (6 bags I think), 3 toothpastes, 2 mascaras, 2 air fresheners, 2 packs of gum, and a thing of body wash. By the time I gave him all my coupons and used my ECB's, the total was 70 cents. Then I used my prescription gift card to pay for that. The cashier was in shock.

Between the gift card and store credit ECB's, I still have $25 for my future trips too. :-D

Too bad they didn't have the beano in stock, I would have made another $3 just to take it out of the store. I never thought I would find myself saying I wish there was beano in stock... but I just did.

Teeth Are Depressing

Within the past month, Katelynn has grown 4 upper teeth. They are pretty cute when she smiles, but I can't help but feel a little sad as she is looking less like a baby and more like a little girl. My mom's solution: "Have another one." I don't think I'm ready for that! And even "another one" would get teeth eventually too. Sigh.

Here's to Old Friends

Today I got together with my friends Kristi and Sarah. We try to "do lunch" every couple months or so. We have been friends since the sixth grade - 11 years old. So.... that makes it over 20 years now!

It is really neat to have people in your life that have known you that long. You have watched each other grow up. It is really pretty priceless. Love you both, Kristi and Sarah!

It would be neat to find an old picture of the three of us and then get a new one at our next lunch. I will have to add that to my to-do list.

Pumpkin Patch Fun

This is a wonderful place to visit... too bad it was raining. I have to go back when it is nice weather. I was surprised it was all free. There were bounce houses, hay rides, hay mazes, train rides, etc. Picture-taking opportunities abounded.

We had a wonderful trip to the mountains and were pleased to discover that our purchase of a nice baby carrier didn't go to waste. Katelynn really loved to hike, even 4+ hours at a time.
